Sarah Harper was born Sarah Best in 1799. She was Christened at Kirkdale Minster, North Yorkshire on 8 Jan 1799 and was the daughter of William Best, 1764 to 1842 and Alice Richardson, 1770 TO 1854. They were both buried at Kirkdale Minster and whose gravestone is on this site. The eldest daughter of William and Alice Best married John Harper whom I believe is the brother of Robert Harper,(married to Sarah). Elizabeth Harper (Best), is buried with her parents at Kirkdale.
